Indian Army organised two-day motivational outreach programmes at prominent educational institutions of Haridwar district on 15th and 16th July 2025 as part of its “Caravan Talkies – Join Indian Army” campaign aimed at creating awareness and motivating youth.
The events were successfully conducted at Om Ayurvedic College (Gnorwala), Shri Swami Bhumanand College of Nursing (Alipur), Chinmaya Advanced Research Education (CARE) College (Bahadrabad), COER University (Roorkee-Haridwar Road, Vardhmanpuram), and Patanjali University (Haridwar).
During the programme, students and teachers from various disciplines participated enthusiastically and deeply engaged with the motivational sessions of the Army. Army representatives shared information on Agniveer recruitment, technical trades such as Army Medical Corps (Nursing Assistant), Remount Veterinary Corps and Officers’ level induction through audio-visual displays and personal interactions. Also, brochures and handouts containing QR codes were distributed to the participants to facilitate the registration process for the students.
The Indian Army also gave a clear message to the youth that its recruitment process is completely transparent, fair and free, and that one needs to be cautious of any fake agents or brokers.
Quizzes, doubt-clearing sessions and awareness activities were also organized in the program, which saw active participation of the students. Teachers and senior faculty members praised the initiative and said that this campaign is an excellent medium to motivate the youth towards national service.
Despite the traffic challenges due to the Kanwar Yatra, there was a significant participation of students and teachers in the program. Many faculty members played the role of guides and mentors and conveyed the message to those students who could not attend the program due to examinations or other reasons.
This campaign is furthering the message of “Dedication to Service”, merit based opportunities and national pride among the youth of Haridwar.
