Mundali (Odisha): Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the country is on the verge of eliminating Maoists by the end of this month and that security forces will defeat those who dream of creating a Red Corridor from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Pashupati in Nepal.
Shah said that the CISF’s contribution to the country’s industrial security and growth is unparalleled. Therefore, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that the CISF will be given the responsibility of securing all ports in the country.
Addressing a function organized to mark the 57th Foundation Day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Mundali, Cuttack district, Shah also said that the CISF plays a vital role in the country’s economic growth by providing security to key establishments.
Shah said that if there is industrial development in the country, the country’s economy will be strengthened. The CISF is providing strong security to those industrial establishments. Happiness is visible on the faces of CISF personnel today. Similarly, no industry in the country can develop without the CISF. He said that the central government has now entrusted the security of all ports to the CISF.
He said, “Today, I want to assure the nation that the country will be free of Maoists by March 31st. Our forces will defeat those who dream of creating a Red Corridor from Tirupati to Pashupati.”
Shah said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, eradicating Naxalism from the country will be a major achievement for the security forces. He said, “Our security forces have lived up to expectations, and the country is now on the verge of eliminating the Red Insurgents.”
The Home Minister said that to achieve the Prime Minister’s goal of a “developed India” by 2047, the forces have ensured internal security, which is the most important element for a nation’s progress. Shah said that the CISF is providing security to key installations, from reservoirs and industries to the Parliament. He said that the force has played the role of a “catalyst for the country’s economic growth.”
The Union Home Minister stressed that high economic growth is achieved through peace. He said, “Our security personnel have effectively fulfilled their commitment to maintaining industrial peace.” Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Assembly Speaker Surma Padhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab were present at the event.
