The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is continuously taking strict action to make the city well-organized, safe, and free from encroachments. Illegal encroachments, sidewalk obstructions, and unauthorized constructions will not be tolerated in the authority’s jurisdiction under any circumstances. In this regard, MDDA’s enforcement teams are constantly active in the area, conducting inspections and ensuring swift action against those who violate the rules. This campaign is not only aimed at improving traffic management but is also a crucial step towards ensuring public convenience and maintaining the beauty of the city.
Under this campaign launched by the MDDA, action was taken today against illegal encroachments in the Bahal Chowk, Rajpur Road area of โโDehradun. During the inspection, it was found that illegal stairs had been constructed by encroaching on the footpath, causing inconvenience to pedestrians and disrupting traffic. The authority’s team reached the spot, demolished the illegally constructed stairs, and issued a strict warning to the concerned party against repeating such encroachments in the future.
