In view of the heavy rush of devotees and the increasing traffic congestion during the Lohri and Makar Sankranti bathing festival, the police have issued a traffic route diversion plan. Under this plan, the entry of all heavy vehicles into the city will be prohibited from 12 AM on Monday until the end of the festival.
The public is requested to check the traffic plan before leaving home and to use only the designated routes. In this regard, SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal has given instructions for strict enforcement of the traffic plan.
Traffic Arrangements:
– If traffic congestion increases, heavy vehicles will be stopped at the border.
– The Chila road will be used only as an exit route from Rishikesh.
– In case of increased traffic congestion at Chandi Chowk, a one-way system will be implemented from the 4.2 diversion.
– Normal traffic will be diverted from the Gurukul Kangri service lane through Singhdwar towards Shankaracharya Chowk.
– If there is increased pressure at the toll plaza exit, vehicles will be diverted via the canal embankment road.
– If traffic is heavy, private buses going to Dehradun and Rishikesh will be diverted via the Mohand road.
Parking Arrangements for Vehicles:
– Vehicles coming to Haridwar from Delhi-Meerut-Muzaffarnagar will be parked at Alaknanda, Deendayal, Pantdweep, and Chamgadar Tapu parking areas.
– In case of excessive congestion, they will be sent to Bairagi Camp parking via Narsan, Manglaur, Laksar, Ferupur, and Jagjitpur.
– Vehicles coming from Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana will arrive at Bairagi Camp via Saharanpur, Mandawar, Bhagwanpur, Naglaimarti, Laksar, Ferupur, and Jagjitpur.
Vehicles going from Delhi-Meerut to Najibabad will go via Narsan, Manglaur, Naglaimarti, Laksar, Balawali, Bijnor, and Najibabad.
– Vehicles coming to Haridwar from Moradabad and Najibabad will reach Chandi Chowk and be parked at Deendayal, Pantdweep, and Chamgadar Tapu parking areas.
– Large vehicles will be sent to Gauri Shankar and Neel Dhara parking areas via Najibabad, Chidiyapur, Shyampur, and the 4.2 diversion. – Vehicles coming from Dehradun and Rishikesh to Haridwar will be parked at Laljiwala, Pantdweep, and Chamgadad Tapu.
– Vehicles going from Dehradun and Rishikesh to Delhi-Meerut will go via Nepali Farm, Raiwala, Chandi Chowk, and NH 344 to Meerut and Delhi.
– Vehicles going to Najibabad will go via Nepali Farm, Raiwala, Chandi Chowk, Chandi Chowki, and Shyampur.
Private Bus Routes
– Buses coming to Haridwar from Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana will go via Narsan, Manglaur, Laksar, Sultanpur, and Jagjitpur to Bairagi Camp parking.
– Buses going to Rishikesh and Dehradun will be routed via Narsan, Manglaur, Abdul Kalam Chowk, Mandawar, and Mohand.
Auto-Vikram Diversion
– Auto-rickshaws and Vikram taxis coming from Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Raiwala will only go up to Jairam Mod; further entry will be restricted.
– Auto-rickshaws and Vikram taxis coming from Jwalapur and Pul Jatwara will be diverted via Ranipur Mod โ Devpura โ Shivmurti Tiraaha.
– Auto-rickshaws and Vikram taxis coming from BHEL bridge will operate via Bhagat Singh Chowk โ Tibri Phatak โ Devpura.
– The movement of all types of vehicles, including auto-rickshaws, Vikram taxis, and other taxis, will be restricted from Laltaro Bridge to Shivmurti
