Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will enter the Rajya Sabha. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself, putting an end to all speculation through a social media post.
Nitish Kumar wrote in the post, “For more than two decades, you have consistently maintained your trust and support with me, and on that strength, I have served Bihar and all of you with complete loyalty. It is because of your trust and support that Bihar is today presenting a new dimension of development and respect. I have expressed my gratitude to you many times in the past.”
The Chief Minister wrote that, since the beginning of my parliamentary career, I had a desire to become a member of both houses of the Bihar Legislature and Parliament. In line with this, I am seeking to become a member of the Rajya Sabha in this election.
“I want to assure you with all sincerity that this relationship with you will continue in the future, and my resolve to work together with you to build a developed Bihar will remain unwavering.” “I will extend my full support and guidance to the new government that will be formed.” – Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister, Bihar Who will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar?: After Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha, the post of Chief Minister of Bihar will become vacant. This raises questions about who will become the new Chief Minister of the state. The BJP has a greater influence in Bihar’s power structure than the JDU. Consequently, speculation is rife that the BJP could assume the reins of power after Nitish Kumar. If this happens, it would be a major turning point in the state’s history, as after a long time, a BJP leader will occupy the Chief Minister’s chair.
Will Nishant Kumar be the Deputy CM?: There is a possibility of two Deputy CMs from the JDU upon Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha. The name of CM Nitish’s son, Nishant Kumar, is prominently discussed. After becoming a Rajya Sabha member, Nitish Kumar will become a member of all four houses (Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Lok Sabha, and Rajya Sabha).
Political Upheaval in Bihar: The news of Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha appointment has created a stir within the JDU. Workers have been gathering outside Nitish Kumar’s residence since morning, expressing their anger and deep sorrow over the decision. The opposition is also targeting him. RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said that a major upheaval in Bihar politics has been taking place since yesterday.
“No one anticipated that the BJP would remove Chief Minister Nitish Kumar so soon after the elections, but our leader Tejashwi Yadav had been saying repeatedly that the BJP would destroy the JDU and oust Nitish Kumar from the Chief Minister’s post.” – Mrityunjay Tiwari, RJD leader
