A tragic road accident took place near the RTO office in Rishikesh in the early hours of Wednesday. A massive fire broke out after a truck and a trolley collided. Two drivers died on the spot in the accident, while another injured was rescued by the SDRF team and taken to the hospital.
After receiving information from the control room Rishikesh, the rescue team led by Head Constable Arjun Panwar from SDRF post Dhalwala immediately left for the spot. A trolley and a truck with a boring machine collided with each other.
The collision was so severe that the trolley caught fire. The trolley driver died on the spot after getting caught in the fire, while the truck driver also lost his life. Another person in the truck was seriously injured, who was taken out by the SDRF and local police and sent to the hospital.
The fire service team controlled the fire. The causes of the incident are being investigated.
