Dehradun (Uttarakhand): In order to expand Indian knowledge tradition and philosophy among the youth, a Hindu Studies Centre is going to be established in Doon University soon. This centre will be the second major centre in the country after Banaras Hindu University, where Vedas, Puranas, Indian philosophy and traditions will be studied properly.
Hindu Studies Centre will be established: It is worth noting that soon Indian literature, Indian philosophy and culture will be studied in detail in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. For which the Education Department has geared up. After Banaras Hindu University, this university in Uttarakhand will be the second major centre in the country. Where Hindu traditions and philosophy will be studied in detail.
Uttarakhand government geared up: Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, while holding a meeting in the Secretariat, issued guidelines to the officials regarding the establishment of the Hindu Studies Centre. In fact, an effective platform is being prepared to preserve, analyse and disseminate Indian spiritual and philosophical traditions. For which the Higher Education Minister directed the officials to complete all the formalities related to the establishment of the Hindu Studies Centre soon. Hindu Studies Centre will be established in Doon University in accordance with National Education Policy 2020.
Hindu traditions and philosophy will be encouraged: The understanding of Hindu traditions and philosophy will be encouraged in this study centre. During this, by providing multi-disciplinary education rooted in the Indian knowledge tradition, morality, analytical vision and cultural society will also be developed in the learners. A 4-year undergraduate course will be conducted in Doon University. In which students will be taught subjects like Tatva Vimarsh, Dharma and Karma Vimarsh, Vaad Parampara, Ramayana Mahabharata. After Banaras Hindu University, Doon University will be the second university in the country where such studies will be conducted at a large scale.
Will be introduced to Sanatan Vedic culture: Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat also reviewed the progress of Nityanand Himalayan Research and Study Centre and MSc Urban Development Management during this period. Instructions have been given to the department officials to make concrete efforts to improve the old research centre for more students and develop the university as a Centre for Excellence. Let us tell you that through the Hindu Study Centre, students will be introduced to the Sanatan Vedic culture. In the Hindu Study Centre, students will get a chance to study and explain Hindu customs, Sanatan tradition and Vedas in simple language.
