Hemkund Express (14609/14610) from Rishikesh railway station to Katra has been cancelled till 30 September. This train has been cancelled since 26 August. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Railways Aditya Gupta Moradabad Division said that due to floods on the down line in Pathankot Cantt-Kandrori railway section of Jammu Tawi division and Jammu Tawi-Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra, Jammu Tawi-Bari Brahman railway section, Hemkund Express (14609/14610) has been cancelled till 30 September.
It is being told that due to cloudburst in Jammu Kashmir, many railway bridges and tracks were washed away. It is taking time to repair them. Therefore, Hemkund Express has been cancelled by the railways till 30 September
