Lucknow: Monsoon rain continues in the state. This process has been going on intermittently in the southern part for several days. On Wednesday, Varanasi, Sultanpur, Prayagraj and Vindhya region received good rain. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in 11 districts of Vindhya and Bundelkhand region on Thursday. Senior scientist of the Regional Meteorological Center, Atul Kumar Singh said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Vindhya, Bundelkhand and Southern UP on Thursday. Apart from these, there will be heavy rain in 19 other districts as well. There is a possibility of lightning with thunder in 58 districts.

Chances of monsoon rain in the capital today too
On Wednesday, light to moderate drizzle occurred in different areas of the capital amid the movement of clouds. A slight drop in mercury brought relief from the humid heat. According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of the Regional Meteorological Center, due to increased monsoon activity, there are chances of good rain in Lucknow on Thursday. The rain will bring down the temperature and provide relief from the heat. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.4 degrees Celsius with a drop of about 1 degree. At the same time, the night temperature was recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius with a slight drop of 0.5 degrees.
