Due to continuous heavy rains in Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of natural disasters like landslides and rising water level. After the clear instructions of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, the entire administration is on alert mode. In this episode, on Wednesday, Vice President of Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority, Shri Anshul Singh ji and Municipal Commissioner Shri Nandan Kumar ji inspected the sensitive area of Mansa Devi hill, where a landslide occurred on Tuesday evening and heavy debris fell on the railway track.
This area is part of the Shivalik mountain range, where landslides often occur during the monsoon season. The officials conducted a thorough inspection of the spot and gathered necessary information on the causes of the landslide, geo-structure and safety measures. With the help of experts, a framework of necessary steps is being prepared to prevent such incidents in future.
Meanwhile, the water level of river Ganga also crossed the danger mark on Tuesday. Considering the seriousness of the situation, Mr. Anshul Singh visited Bhimgoda Barrage and obtained detailed information about the water level and condition of the barrage from the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department
