SIDCUL. Various employee organizations united under the banner of Old Pension Restoration National Movement and submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate. In the memorandum, the implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme by the Central and State Governments from April 1, 2025 has been strongly opposed.
On Tuesday, the officials and employees of various organizations gathered outside Vikas Bhawan and protested and raised slogans to fulfill the demands soon. The demand to restore the old pension scheme was reiterated. All the teachers and employees involved in this celebrated Black Day by tying black bands in their schools.
Garhwal Mandal President Vikas Sharma called it harmful for the employees and said that till the old pension is not restored, their struggle will continue. District President Sukhdev Saini termed the new pension scheme and the unified pension scheme as unacceptable and called the old pension the right of the employees. District Minister Deepak Chauhan said that the employees of all departments are uniting. Due to which the government will have to accept the demand for restoration soon.
Among those who submitted the memorandum were Ravindra Road, Lalit Mohan Joshi, Manoj Barchiwal, Ravindra Chauhan, Jitendra Singh, Manoj Pant, Kuldeep Singh, Jyoti Ram, Kuldeep Singh, Brijmohan Maurya, Satendra, Salendra, Sunita Joshi, Nirupama Dhiman, Sapna Singh, Veerpal Singh, Ravi Kumar, Tara Singh, Chandrakant Bisht and Charan Singh.
Employees tied black bands in Rishikul and Gurukul universities too
Haridwar. Employees of Rishikul and Gurukul Ayurveda universities supported the call to celebrate April 1 as black day. They tied black bands on their arms and protested against the implementation of NPS by closing the old pension scheme. Employees said that they will not accept any other scheme in place of the old pension scheme.
