Uttarakhand performed well in GST collections. This year, a 17 percent increase in GST collections was recorded in August, which is 120 crore rupees more than last year. Uttarakhand is among the top ten states nationally with a nine percent increase.
2.10 lakh traders and firms in Uttarakhand are registered under GST. In August 2025, the state received a total GST revenue of 816.88 crore rupees, compared to 696.58 crore rupees in August 2024. The state has increased GST collections by 17 percent since last year.
Uttarakhand is performing well nationally in GST collections. Based on GST collections as of August, Uttarakhand is among the top ten states, after Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Gujarat. Uttarakhand has surpassed several major states in GST collections.
State Tax Commissioner Sonika says that the state has increased GST collections by 17 percent in August. GST revenue is expected to increase in the months of September and October due to the festive season. GST evaders are being monitored. To this end, teams formed at the state and district levels are taking action against tax evasion.
