The criminals had previously plotted to kill Vikram in Jamshedpur and Noida, but were unsuccessful. Vikram had considerable influence in Jamshedpur and was always accompanied by 10-15 people. This made it difficult to kill him there. Subsequently, they plotted to kill Vikram in Noida.
The criminals knew Vikram’s frequent visits to Noida, but they couldn’t carry out the murder there because they couldn’t accurately determine his departure times. Subsequently, they plotted to kill Vikram in Dehradun. For this task, they needed someone capable of conducting long-term surveillance. Ankit, a resident of Jamshedpur, had previously conducted surveillance for several gangs. Therefore, they assigned Ankit the responsibility of surveillance to keep an eye on Vikram’s activities. Ankit was provided a flat in Noida for 26,000 rupees per month. From there, Ankit began frequently visiting Dehradun to keep an eye on Vikram.
Ankit learned that Vikram frequented the gym in Silver City. To carry out his task with precision, Ankit also took membership at this gym. He had been attending the gym for the past three months. The perpetrators of the murder were sitting in Jamshedpur, waiting for accurate information. The shooters were sent to Haridwar on February 12th. Everyone was fully prepared for the next day, February 13th.
Ankit informed Ashutosh as soon as Vikram arrived at the gym. Vikram would exercise there for one to one and a half hours. This is roughly the same time it takes to travel from Haridwar to Dehradun. Before Vikram could leave, Ashutosh and Vishal stood in ambush on the stairs. As soon as Vikram left the gym and started descending the stairs, they fired several shots at his head from close range.
A student from a private university that has recently gained attention is also accused
Mohit alias Akshat, a student from a private university in Noida that has recently gained attention, is also accused in this murder case. During interrogation, Mohit revealed that he is a first-year BBA student and currently lives with two other friends in Alpha-2 Apartments in the Greater Noida area. A few years ago, his maternal uncle, Vikas Mahato, introduced him to Ashutosh. Through Ashutosh, he met Vishal Singh and Ankit about four years ago. Ashutosh and Vishal were the ones who shot Vikram.
Vishal had a fight with Vikram’s henchmen in jail.
Ashutosh was jailed about two years ago for a deadly attack on a man in the parking lot of the former Tata Nagar railway station. Shortly thereafter, Vishal, at the behest of Aman Singh, murdered a man named Amarnath. Vishal was jailed in this case. Vishal had a dispute with a close associate of Vikram Sharma in jail, which led to Vishal being harassed by Vikram Sharma through his jailed henchmen. Vishal, after being released from jail, told Ashutosh about this. Vishal and Ashutosh then conspired to kill Vikram.
Ashutosh wanted to make a name for himself in the criminal world.
Ashutosh had previously been jailed for criminal offenses and wanted to make a name for himself in the criminal world. Vikram had considerable influence in the criminal world, and by killing him, he could establish his dominance. Consequently, he and his other associates conspired to murder Vikram Sharma.
Yashraj, upset with Vikram, also became involved in the conspiracy.
Ashutosh was an acquaintance of Yashraj, the owner of Sarika Enterprises, and knew that Yashraj was also deeply troubled by Vikram Sharma. Yashraj’s company, Sarika Enterprises, held a contract for food supplies to the Railways, and Vikram Sharma wanted to acquire that contract. Vikram Sharma had previously demanded extortion from Yashraj. Consequently, Ashutosh informed Yashraj of his plan to kill Vikram. Yashraj offered to assist him in killing Vikram Sharma.
Mohit arranged for their stay and food.
Following the murder, Ashutosh and Vishal, along with another friend, Akash, first traveled to Haridwar on a rented bike and scooter, and then arrived at Mohit’s flat in Noida on the same day in Yashraj’s Scorpio. Since Mohit was in Dehradun on the day of the incident, they contacted him by phone and asked him to park the Scorpio. When Mohit returned to Noida the next day, the accused informed him that they had murdered Vikram Sharma in Dehradun, left the Scorpio with him, and then departed for their respective locations. Mohit, also known as Akshat, had made all the arrangements for the accused’s stay and food.
