Congress MLA from Almora Manoj Tiwari alleged that the executive engineer of the provincial section of the Public Works Department has blown up the rules and law by giving the work of alternative link motor road from Chaunsali Doba Motor Road kilometer two to kilometer two without a tender to his darlings with a sum of ten crore twenty-three lakhs.
MLA Manoj Tiwari alleged that the Public Works Department has crossed all the limits of corruption with this act. He also accused the Public Works Department of embezzling government money by keeping the rules in check without tendering.
The MLA said that the state government is mired in corruption. At the same time, the officials of their districts are openly doing corruption. There has been a case in the provincial section of Lonivi Almora, under which an estimated amount of 10 crore 23 lakhs was to build an alternative route near the quab of Almora, but the department gave the tender to the contractor without the tender process.
He has accused the officials of the department of corruption. He said that they demand that the tender process be conducted for this work and strict action be taken against the officials who have given the work to the contractors without a tender.
