Motihari: Despite strict border security following the violence in Nepal, five foreign nationals entered Bihar. The SSB has cautiously arrested all of them. The five foreign nationals include four Sudanese and one Bolivian. All entered India through the Nepal border.
According to Motihari Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat, the arrested foreigners include Abdul Fitah (44), Rama Siddiqui (38), Ali Abdul Ghaffar (27), Ahmed Dafalah (37), from Sudan, and Miguel Solano Chavez (32) from Bolivia. All are being questioned.
Foreigners were planning to travel to Patna: The Superintendent of Police stated that the SSB received information that five foreign nationals had entered the Indian border area. They were planning to board a bus from the Motihari bus stand for Patna on September 20th at 9 pm. One person had already booked their bus tickets.
Arrested at the Bus Stand: Police reported that when police arrived to conduct a raid at the Motihari bus stand, these individuals were hiding in the bus stand premises to avoid detection. Police then noticed five individuals attempting to hide in the darkness. They were then arrested.
Studying in Hyderabad: The Superintendent of Police stated that during interrogation, the Sudanese citizens stated that they were all studying in Hyderabad. However, they were unable to explain their reason for coming to India from the Nepal border. The Bolivian citizen also failed to explain his purpose. Several suspicious documents, including notes and books written in Urdu, were recovered from them. The police have informed the Intelligence Bureau.

Young people had staged violent protests against the Nepal government’s ban on social media. The violence, which began on September 8, resulted in the deaths of approximately 72 people. Following the protests, the government lifted the ban on social media. The situation in Nepal is currently calm, although strict measures remain in place at the India-Nepal border.
