A case of a contract killing for ₹30 lakh has come to light in Haridwar. Bahadrabad police have arrested six people, including the main conspirator, a former district panchayat member. It was revealed that the accused had plotted his own murder to implicate the other party in a land dispute.
He, along with three young men, had planned to fire at his own vehicle using his licensed pistol. He filed a complaint at Bahadrabad police station, accusing his opponents of hiring a contract killer for ₹30 lakh. The police investigated and uncovered the entire case.
SP City Pankaj Gairola stated that the arrested accused include the main conspirator and former district panchayat member, Zakir, resident of Ghorwala, Bahadrabad police station; Khaliq, resident of Ghorwala, Bahadrabad police station; Usman, resident of Jalalpur, Kotwali police station; Sohail, resident of Sot Mohalla, Kotwali police station; Azam, resident of Kanhapur, Kotwali police station; Shaheed, resident of Ghorwala, Bahadrabad police station.
