Haldwani: Forest division Haldwani has chosen Lakhanmandi of Nandhaur range to promote eco tourism. There is a big Aag garden in the forest area here. There are preparations to develop it into an eco village. For this, the department has sent a proposal of five crores to the government.
Haldwani forest division is busy in preparations to promote tourism. For this, the forest land of Lakhanmandi mango garden of Nandhaur division has been chosen. There is a plan to develop Nandhaur as an eco village for eco tourism. Divisional forest officer Haldwani Kundan Kumar said that the estimated cost of the eco village is five crores.
These things will be built
Under the proposal, reception, eco huts, cottages, cafeteria, kitchen, toilets, drinking water system, garbage disposal management as well as entrance gate will be constructed in the eco-village for tourists. Beautification work of the area will also be done here.
Youth will get a chance to become nature guides
Local youth will get a chance to work as nature guides in the eco-village. With the implementation of the proposal, many youth of Nandhaur, Chorgalia area will get employment opportunities. Eco tourism will get a big boost.
