There is good news for the high level players of the state. Now the daily food allowance given to the players during the training camps organized before various national and higher level sports competitions has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 400.
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that this proposal has got the approval of the Governor and it has been implemented with immediate effect. A government order was issued in this regard on Monday. She said that there was a need for this increase.
Daily food allowance of Rs 250 is not enough
In the meeting held in this regard, he had said that the daily food allowance of Rs 250 is not enough for the players preparing to participate in national and international competitions for the state, hence it is necessary to make it equivalent to the allowance currently being given by organizations like SAI.
In this regard, during the review meeting of the department recently, instructions were issued to the officials for action. It is also special that apart from the players, coaches and other support staff will also be given food allowance at the increased rate.
The state government is making every effort to encourage players and improve their performance and this is also an important step in this direction. By increasing the food allowance, players will be able to get more nutritious food and there will be qualitative improvement in their performance
