New Delhi: President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on phone on Wednesday. During this, the two leaders discussed various issues.
It is said that President Stubb shared information on the recent meetings between the leaders of Europe, America and Ukraine in Washington, the purpose of which was to advance the solution of the Ukraine conflict.
PM Modi once again reiterated that India has always supported the peaceful resolution of this conflict and the restoration of stability along with early peace.
The two leaders reviewed the progress of India-Finland bilateral relations. Apart from this, agreed to further strengthen the partnership in areas like quantum technology, 6G, artificial intelligence as well as cyber security and sustainable development.
In the same sequence, President Stubb reiterated support for the early and beneficial conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement. He also expressed his support for the success of the AI Impact Summit to be organized by India in 2026.
PM Modi invited President Stubb to visit India soon. Both leaders agreed to remain in constant touch.
It is worth noting that recently, US President Donald Trump had a meeting with Russian President Putin in Alaska to stop the Russia-Ukraine war. The whole world was watching this meeting, although this meeting was not completely successful.
After meeting Trump in Alaska, Russian President Putin had said, our conversation took place in an atmosphere of constructive and mutual respect. He welcomed Trump as a neighbor and established direct contact with him.
President Putin also said, I want to thank Donald Trump for working closely and maintaining a friendly and trusting atmosphere in the conversation. Especially that both sides were determined to achieve results. Our conversation was positive.
