The second day of the two-day FICCI FLO Convention 2026, organized by the FICCI Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO) Uttarakhand Chapter, concluded successfully on January 8, 2026, with great enthusiasm, meaningful discussions, and inspiring sessions.
The second day began with the inaugural session (Inaugural Day 2). A video message from the wife of His Excellency the Governor and First Lady of Uttarakhand was broadcast on this occasion, in which she highly appreciated FICCI FLO’s efforts in the areas of women’s empowerment, leadership development, and sustainable development and wished the conference a success.
In the inaugural session, Chief Guest Mrs. Geeta Dhami, in her inspiring address, said that if women move forward with determination, confidence, and continuous effort, they can empower not only themselves but the entire society. He also said that the women of Uttarakhand should make their mark across the country and work with this inspiration.
Following this, in a session titled “From Resolution to Achievement,” Ms. Neha Joshi shared her experiences and explained that with a clear vision, consistent efforts, and self-confidence, women can achieve remarkable success in any field.
In the workshop “Sustainability Made Practical: From Everyday Choices to Climate Friendly Business” organized under Technical Session 4 (Climate Change), the School of Policy & Governance, Bangalore, highlighted how small decisions taken in daily life and sustainable business practices can contribute to a climate-friendly future.
Under the **Technical Session-05 (Financial Literacy)**, on the topic **Step to Healthy Finances**, **WOMENEYSTA, Gurugram** made women aware of the practical aspects of financial planning, savings, investments and economic independence.
On this occasion, **Bharatiya Janata Party Treasurer Mr. Puneet Mittal** highlighted the role of financial management and effective management in business and said that strong financial understanding is the key to the success of any business.
At the program, **State Mahila Morcha President Mrs. Ruchi Bhatt** inspired women to continuously move forward, take leadership and become self-reliant. **State Minister, Labour Department, Mrs. Geeta Rawat** interacted with the women and shared her views on the role of women in the labour sector and their rights.
Subsequently, in Technical Session 6 (Panel Discussion) titled “Women in Business: Embedding Sustainability at the Core,” Mrs. Srilata Krishnan, Bangalore, and other experts emphasized the need to embrace sustainability as a core element of business.
During the event, Mrs. Lubna shared her experiences with FICCI, stating that FICCI FLO has given her confidence and direction, and that women should continue to progress.
The FICCI FLO Executive Members and Convention Team played a key role in the success of the conference. Komal Batra, Neha Sharma (National Governing Body Member), Tripti Bahl, Meenakshi Soti, Smriti Batta, and Harpreet Kaur were especially commended for their active participation and efficient organizing skills.
The final session featured a special discussion on “Sustainability in Women-Led Businesses at its Core,” in which Dr. Surekha Dangwal presented insightful insights on the role of women-led sustainable development. Special guests Mr. Shyam Agarwal and Mr. Kailash Pant also shared their views, emphasizing the importance of incorporating environmental and social responsibility into women entrepreneurship.
The final session was coordinated by Mrs. Rupa Soni, who skillfully moderated the session. Several distinguished guests and participants, including Mrs. Nitika Sharma, Mr. P.K. Joshi (Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board), and Amrit, were present. All speakers unanimously agreed that if women place sustainability at the center of their businesses, positive change is possible for both society and the environment.
The program concluded with a Valedictory Session and Disbursements, in which certificates were presented to participants and the overall achievements of the conference were highlighted.
