State Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat presented a Diwali gift in the form of appointment letters to 679 Assistant Teachers (LTs) selected by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The appointment distribution ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Government Medical College, Srinagar, on Thursday.
The Minister stated that all candidates are being assigned to remote areas, as children in hilly areas are completely dependent on government schools and government teachers. He directed that joining dates be met before Bhaiya Dooj and Diwali. He stated that if a candidate is unable to join due to medical reasons, they can also join the Chief Education Officer’s office. The Minister stated that guest teachers will be fully considered along with these appointments. No one will be excluded. Guest teachers affected by permanent appointments will be reassigned to other schools within 15 days.
He stated that all the 1,347 appointments involve children from Uttarakhand. The state government has appointed 26,500 young people, with 19,000 employed in his department alone. Now, 2,100 primary teachers are being appointed within 90 days. A notification will be issued within 10-12 days. After Diwali and Bhaiya Dooj, all newly appointed teachers will undergo two to three days of training at the Diet.
Inauguration of Jan Aushadhi Center and Laying of Foundation Stone for Girls’ Hostel
