The main event of Ravana Dahan will take place today on Dussehra at the Parade Ground. A 121-foot-tall effigy of Ravana has been created here. This time, Ravana’s height has increased but his thickness has decreased. The effigy is certainly large, but it is quite thin. People say that the effigy lacks Ravana’s true charisma, while Kumbhakarna’s effigy appears to outweigh Ravana.
Every year, the tallest effigy of Ravana is burned at the Parade Ground. This time, the effigy of Ravana is disturbing people. Unlike Ravana, the effigy lacks the arrogance of Ravana. Effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakarna have been erected nearby, but the effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakarna reflect more of their arrogance than Ravana.
The effigy of Ravana may have grown in height, but its swagger and pride are missing. The mustache is definitely taut, but the face lacks its charm and swagger. Kumbhakarna’s appearance alongside Ravana is captivating people. People are flocking to the Parade Ground to see the effigies, and this is the topic of discussion. However, the makers of the effigies say that making a taller effigy too heavy poses the risk of it falling over.
Ravana will wield a sword, his eyes will twinkle
