Surprise checking done by police in Madrasi Colony on the instructions of SSP Doon*

*Surprise checking done through sniffer dogs at the houses of drug smugglers who came to light earlier in drug smuggling*

Taking seriously the complaints received regarding drug business in slums/slums, SSP Dehradun directed all subordinate officers to conduct surprise checking campaigns to catch drug smugglers. In this sequence, today on 14/07/2025, under the leadership of the City Magistrate, a surprise checking was done in Madrasi Colony under the Kotwali area by the team of local police, PAC, dog squad and ANTF Dehradun. During the checking, the police force conducted surprise checking with the help of sniffer dogs at the houses and suspicious places of drug smugglers involved in drug trafficking in the Madrasi Colony area.
SSP Dehradun has instructed all the station in-charges to conduct regular checking campaigns to catch the drug addicts and the accused involved in drug trafficking in deserted places / ruins etc. in their respective police station areas, as well as to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of drug smugglers who were previously involved in drug trafficking and to identify the accused active in the illegal drug business and take strict action against them and also identify their illegal property
