Dehradun: The drivers of door to door garbage collection vehicles in 100 wards of the Municipal Corporation will no longer be able to do as they please. Now the Municipal Corporation has prepared an Integrated Control and Command Center (ICCC) to monitor them. Information about the exact location of door to door garbage collection vehicles will be available from this control room.
The Integrated Control and Command Center was inaugurated today by Mayor Saurabh Thapariyal and Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal. Also, CCTV cameras have been installed at 54 places in the city where garbage is thrown in the open. Which will be monitored from the control room. If anyone is seen throwing garbage, then action will be taken against him.
Let us tell you that the Integrated Control and Command Center is a system. Now an integrated system has been created with this. Many such works are done by the Municipal Corporation under the health section. Which can be monitored on one platform. For this, an Integrated Control and Command Center has been prepared. The purpose of setting up the Integrated Control and Command Center is to monitor the work of the Municipal Corporation such as disaster management, water locking regarding waterlogging, door to door garbage collection, fogging and trenching ground. This was being done by forming different groups. The Municipal Corporation had divided 100 wards into three groups 43, 26, 25. In this, the work of door to door garbage collection was being done by the concerned companies. It was being monitored through PMC (Project Management Consultancy). Many flaws were being seen in it. After which the Integrated Control and Command Center has been started. Through this, all 100 wards can be monitored through software. The garbage wearable points of the Municipal Corporation are being monitored through CCTV cameras.
Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal said that the number of door to door garbage collection vehicles of the Municipal Corporation is 284. All door to door garbage collection vehicles will be monitored simultaneously from the Integrated Control and Command Center. Apart from this, 50 tractor trolleys can also be traced through GPS. Along with this, fogging vehicles can also be traced. Sahastradhara and Sheeshambada trenching grounds can be monitored through this.
