In connection with the high-profile Divyanshu murder case in Dehradun, the police have announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for seven of the 11 absconding accused. Additionally, non-bailable warrants have been issued against the accused. Meanwhile, the victim’s family members are preparing to march to Dehradun.
On the night of March 23, within the jurisdiction of the Prem Nagar police station, a group of 15 students brutally beat Divyanshu Jatrana—a resident of Muzaffarnagar—to death. The police had previously arrested four individuals involved in the incident; however, the remaining accused have fled to various locations, including Bihar and Delhi.
Several police teams from Dehradun are currently conducting search operations in Bihar and Delhi. On Sunday, the police announced a reward of ₹25,000 for each of the seven accused individuals.
SSP Pramendra Dobal stated that rewards have been declared for Ritik Raj, Shantanu Kumar, Ujjwal Singh, Ankur, Aditya Raj, Vineet Raj, and Prahlad Raj. Furthermore, non-bailable warrants have been issued against all of them. All the accused hail from Bihar. The police are conducting raids in an effort to apprehend the accused.
