Rudraprayag: The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has once again picked up pace. Baba’s Dham has started to be crowded with devotees. The faces of local traders have also brightened up due to the huge crowd of devotees. So far, more than 14 lakh 15 thousand devotees have reached Kedarnath Dham and earned merit.
These days, devotees are reaching Baba Kedar’s court, fighting bad weather, falling mountains on the highway and many difficulties. The movement of devotees has started increasing in Kedarnath Dham since the last two-three days. Earlier, around two to three thousand devotees were reaching Baba Kedar’s Dham. Now, the figure has reached close to fifteen thousand. Despite facing problems on the 19 km long walking route from Kedarnath Highway to Gaurikund-Kedarnath, smiles are seen on the faces of devotees.
In the month of Sawan, a large number of devotees are earning merit by reaching the door of Baba Kedar to offer water and Brahmakamal to Lord Shankar. Devotees say that they are facing severe problems from the highway to the footpath, but after reaching the court of Baba Kedar, all the troubles are going away. The footpath is damaged at many places and the streams are overflowing, while on the Kedarnath highway also one has to pass through new slide zones.
Tirth priests Umesh Posti, Santosh Trivedi, Ajay Purohit said that in the month of Sawan, a large number of devotees are reaching to offer water to Baba Kedar. The devotees reaching Kedarnath Dham are being welcomed. They are being helped in every possible way by the local traders. He said that despite facing all kinds of problems on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath footpath, happiness is seen on the faces of the devotees on reaching the Dham. Devotees are praying for their wishes by offering water to Baba Kedarnath and Brahmakamal.
BKTC CEO Vijay Prasad Thapliyal said that till now more than 14 lakh 15 thousand devotees have paid obeisance at Baba Kedarnath Dham. Every possible help is being provided to the devotees. Due to which they are returning with a good message from here.
