Dehradun: People associated with Voice of Animals today took out a march under the Panja Movement against the decision to remove dogs from the streets. In the morning, all the animal lovers gathered at Bindal Bridge. After that, they took out a march on foot amid heavy rain and reached the gate of Gandhi Park. Where all the animal lovers protested against the removal of dogs from the streets in Delhi.
Animal lover Pooja Bahukhandi, who joined the Panja Movement, said that today animal lovers have taken out a march from Bindal Bridge under the leadership of Panja Movement. She said that this march was done in protest against the decision to remove dogs from the streets of Delhi. Pooja told that in every residential area, there should be a system like ABC vaccine for street dogs apart from food, water and other treatments. A separate workshop should definitely be held in other areas including schools. Along with this, there should be a system of free treatment for animals in every city. So that those who help them do not have to think.
Animal lover Akanksha said that MCD has completely failed in vaccinating and sterilizing dogs. Animal lovers say that dogs have always protected humans, but no shelter has been arranged for them by the municipality. The government has also not started an anti-rabies drive. As a result, such a horrific situation has arisen today.
Animal lovers say that if they are kept in any other place, then all these dogs will hurt each other. If there is any such place in Dehradun, then there should be at least 10 shelter homes for them.
Let us tell you that about 400 to 500 people participated in this march taken out in Dehradun. Animal lovers, while taking out a march amidst heavy rains, have demanded from the government that dogs should not be removed from the streets but arrangements like ABC vaccine should be ensured along with food and water, treatment.
