Dehradun: Police was on alert on Thursday after the statement made by Hindu Raksha Dal on Kashmiri students. Police has registered a case against the president of Hindu Raksha Dal. Also, the leaders of the party were put under house arrest from morning to afternoon.
Hindu Raksha Dal state president Lalit Sharma had made a controversial statement on Kashmiri students on Wednesday. When its video went viral on social media, the police swung into action. Along with issuing an alert, the security of Kashmiri students was also increased. On Thursday, from 10 am onwards, the police reached the houses of Hindu Raksha Dal people and did not allow them to leave their homes. There was a strict police vigil at their houses till afternoon.
SSP Ajay Singh said that after the statement made on Kashmiri students, a case has been registered against the accused. Police is serious about the safety of Kashmiri students. If anyone tries to disturb the peace, strict action will be taken.
1201 Kashmiri students are studying in Doon
1201 Kashmiri students are studying in educational institutions of Dehradun. SSP Ajay Singh held a meeting on Thursday regarding their security. The SSP gave security instructions to the operators of the places where Kashmiri students are staying. Also, PAC has been deployed in such areas. PAC will regularly visit these areas.
