New Delhi: Amid preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, political tensions between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition India Block have reached a peak. Amidst all this, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a ‘Pardafaash Program’, taking an aggressive stance against the opposition alliance in Bihar, especially the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress.
Senior BJP leaders will participate in this program and its objective is to tarnish the alleged failures of the opposition and their image among the public. Seeing the way more than half of the Parliament session has been lost to the uproar, the BJP has made this strategy so that it can convey to the public how serious the India Block is about the work of the people.
The uproar continues in the monsoon session of Parliament. In view of that, the BJP is also going to adopt an aggressive strategy against the leaders of the India Block before the Bihar elections. If sources are to be believed, the ‘Pardafaash Program’ is a well-planned campaign by the BJP, under which the party will aggressively attack the opposition parties, especially RJD and Congress, by accusing them of corruption, misgovernance and jungle raj during Lalu’s rule.
This program will be organized through rallies, public meetings and social media campaigns in different parts of Bihar. Senior BJP leaders, such as Union ministers, Bihar leaders and other prominent faces will lead this campaign. According to sources, this program is a strategic move to influence voters ahead of the assembly elections to be held in November 2025.
Why was the strategy of this campaign needed? Responding to this, a Bihar BJP leader said that through this, the failures of the opposition will be exposed and the people have not yet forgotten the state-sponsored crime that was rampant in the entire state during Lalu’s rule. The BJP will tell its welfare programs among the public and will also conduct a survey to see if everyone is getting the benefit of it or not. He said that the public knows how backward the development was during the tenure of RJD and how far behind the state was, they will be reminded again.
However, if we look at it, the main focus of BJP under this campaign will be to highlight the alleged corruption, crime and lack of development during the previous rule of RJD and Congress. The party will especially target the rule led by Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, in which issues like fodder scam and ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar will be raised again.
Apart from this, if sources are to be believed, caste equations in Bihar will also be an important part of the election strategy for the party. BJP will try to woo the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Dalits and other smaller communities through this campaign. For this, the party will work together with local leaders and allies, such as Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
Apart from this, if sources are to be believed, social media will play a big role in BJP’s strategy. The party will use videos, memes and graphics against the opposition on WhatsApp, X, and other digital platforms to reach out to young voters. This campaign will be especially effective in urban and semi-urban areas. Also, the party has formed different teams with all the leaders of the NDA. These committees will bring the development work done under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in front of the public. The achievements of the Nitish government in areas like roads, electricity, water and education will be made a part of the ‘Pardafaash Program’, so that the claims of the India Block can be weakened.
Under this, if sources are to be believed, the central leadership of the BJP, like Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and other leaders, will also play an active role in this campaign. These leaders will hold rallies in major cities and rural areas of Bihar, so that the workers can be energized and the trust of the voters can be won.
The party believes that the India Block, which includes RJD, Congress, and Left parties, is currently grappling with internal strife. Disagreement from the Congress on making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Ministerial face and VIP leader Mukesh Sahni’s demand for the post of Deputy Chief Minister has increased tension in the alliance. BJP will try to take advantage of this weakness and will question the unity of the opposition through the ‘Pardafaash Program’. Although BJP is attacking the opposition through this campaign, it is not that everything is fine within the NDA as well.
The recent rhetoric between Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha’s displeasure have exposed the cracks in the alliance. BJP will also have to face the challenge of keeping its allies together during this campaign. The ‘Pardafaash Program’ is part of BJP’s aggressive strategy, which aims to strengthen the NDA in the elections to be held on 243 assembly seats in Bihar. According to sources, an agreement has been reached on seat sharing between BJP and JDU, in which BJP can get 101 seats and JDU can get 102 seats.
Through this campaign, BJP not only wants to weaken the opposition but also wants to strengthen coordination among its allies. BJP’s ‘Pardafaash Program’ is an important strategy for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, through which the party will try to expose the weaknesses of the opposition and convey its development work to the public.
However, maintaining unity within the NDA and balancing caste equations are important for the success of this campaign. On the other hand, the India Block will have to strengthen its unity and strategy to respond to this aggressive strategy.
