Damaging National Highway 707 A (Tyuni-Chakrata-Mussoorie-Bataghat) in Mussoorie proved costly for the landowners. The district administration has directed strict action against those who damaged the highway. The district administration has issued an RC of Rs 80 lakh along with a penalty of Rs 11 lakh for damaging the highway through illegal mining.
Also, an order has been given to recover the compensation from the named people who dug for a hotel on a residential map and damaged the highway. The name of the wife of a municipal councilor is included in the action of the district administration and the named FIR.
