Haridwar: In Haridwar, police has arrested two criminals from Haryana who came to loot Punjab National Bank ATM. There were about 25 lakh rupees inside the ATM. Gas cutter has also been recovered from the accused. At the same time, the search for the criminal who escaped after recce of the ATM is on.
SSP Pramod Dobal said that late night Kankhal police was patrolling from Deshrakshak towards Dadubagh. Then a young man was seen running near the PNB ATM. At the same time, an i-20 car was found parked in front of Jagjitpur branch.
The shutter of the ATM was closed from outside. But on suspicion, the team listened carefully and heard a loud rattling sound from inside. The team showed alertness and locked the shutter from outside and called the force. As soon as the team arrived, the shutter was opened and there were two people inside who were cutting the ATM with a gas cutter. Smoke was spread there.
Both had cut the ATM in half. Police caught both the criminals Kartik Rana (25) son of Rajendra Rana resident of Vikasnagar Sector 29 Panipat Haryana and Dheeraj (28) son of Jaipal resident of Rajiv Colony Hasi Road Karnal Haryana. Their car also had a fake number plate.

During interrogation, the accused told that they are drug addicts. Therefore, they came to Haridwar from Haryana with the intention of robbing an ATM for money. They learned the method from YouTube. They were doing recce since two-three days.
