Dehradun: Director of Rajaji Tiger Reserve Mr. Coco Rose paid a courtesy visit to Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) at Raj Bhawan on Friday. On this occasion, the Governor shared his experience of visiting Rajaji Tiger Reserve recently and described it as a very rich, biodiversity-rich and scenic place.
During this, the Governor received detailed information from the Director about the wildlife conservation projects going on in the Tiger Reserve, initiatives to promote eco-tourism, and environmental awareness campaigns. He also discussed topics like infrastructure of the Tiger Reserve, patrolling system, monitoring system and participation of local communities.
The Governor said that places like Rajaji Tiger Reserve should be promoted to the maximum so that more number of tourists from the country and abroad come here, which will not only increase tourism in the state but will also provide new employment opportunities to the local people.
