The State Congress Committee will celebrate the Silver Jubilee Fortnight from November 1st to 14th, marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand. On November 9th, a cake will be cut and fireworks will be displayed at the Congress headquarters.
In a press conference on Wednesday, State Congress Vice President (Organization) Suryakant Dhasmana stated that the State Congress Committee has decided to celebrate the Silver Jubilee Fortnight. Senior party leaders, led by Congress President Karan Mahra, Leader of the Opposition Yashpal Arya, former President Pritam Singh, Ganesh Godiyal, and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, will visit the Martyrs’ Memorial at the courthouse on November 1st to pay tribute to the martyred statehood agitators. On November 2nd, the presidents of all the state’s Block Congress Committees will organize development seminars in their blocks to discuss the state’s political and social situation and development.
An exhibition will be held on achievements.
Dhasmana stated that on November 3rd, the District Congress Committees will hold discussions in their respective districts, distributing fruits to patients in district hospitals. Party MLAs will present their views on public issues in the state during the special session of the Legislative Assembly on November 3rd and 4th. On November 5th, State Congress President and Leader of Opposition, former President Pritam Singh, former President Ganesh Godiyal, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, and other important leaders will address a press conference. On November 6th, tributes will be paid to the martyred agitators at Rampur Tiraha. On November 7th, a brainstorming session will be held at the State Congress headquarters. On November 8th, an exhibition will be held on the activities and achievements of the governments that have been in power in Uttarakhand for the past twenty-five years.
On November 9th, a cake will be cut at the State Congress headquarters to mark the silver jubilee of the state’s formation. From November 11th to November 14th, Jai Uttarakhand Jai Bharat Tiranga Yatra will be held in all 70 assembly constituencies of the state. During this, people will be communicated about the current situation of the state and future plans. State Congress Scheduled Caste Department President Madan Lal and Labor Department President Dinesh Kaushal were present on this occasion.
