Haridwar: Akhada Parishad and its president Ravindra Puri has also announced compensation for the families of the deceased and the injured in the Mansa Devi accident. The Mansa Devi Trust will give five lakh rupees each to the families of the deceased and one lakh rupees to the injured. Apart from this, Uttarakhand has also announced to give two lakhs each to the families of the deceased and 50 thousand each to the injured.
Let us tell you that 6 people died in this accident, out of which four people are from UP. In such a situation, the UP government has announced to give two lakhs each to the families of the deceased of its state and 50-50 thousand rupees to the injured. In this way, the families of the devotees of Uttarakhand who died in this accident will get a total of seven lakh rupees from the Mansa Devi Trust and the Uttarakhand government. At the same time, the injured will get Rs 1.50 lakh.
Apart from this, the families of the devotees from UP who have died will be given a total of 9 lakhs by Uttarakhand, UP and Mansa Devi Trust. The injured will get two lakh rupees. Giving more information, Ravindra Puri said that after the incident, the Mansa Devi temple was reopened. Now devotees are visiting Mansa Devi without any hindrance.
He said that the arrangements are being improved continuously. There has been a conversation with Haridwar SSP and DM on this subject, whatever facts will come out in the investigation will be worked upon. Along with this, wherever there is a need for improvement, changes will also be made there.
Ravindra Puri has also clarified that this accident has not happened in the temple premises, but on the road. Still, whatever he can do, he will do. Let us tell you that on Sunday, due to the weekend, there was a huge crowd in the Mansa Devi temple of Haridwar. A large number of devotees had reached the Mansa Devi temple for darshan. Then suddenly there was a stampede due to the increasing crowd on the footpath leading to the temple i.e. on the stairs, after which one person fell on the other. 6 people died in this accident. At the same time 29 people were injured.
The injured have been admitted to Rishikesh AIIMS besides the district hospital of Haridwar. After the incident, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haridwar and Rishikesh AIIMS to know the condition of the injured. Along with this, necessary instructions were also given to the officials of the government-administration and police.
