Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and requested that Ranikhet and Lansdowne cantonment area be included in the municipalities. He said that this will support the overall development of tourism and public facilities in these areas. The CM urged the Defence Minister to allow the military helipads of Dharchula and Joshimath for the use of regional air services. He requested that the fee payable for the services of the Indian Air Force for disaster and relief work in the state be waived. The Chief Minister requested the Public Works Department to carry out the maintenance and maintenance work of the Tharali Dewal-Mundoli-Van Motor Road from Gwaldam via Nandkesari in future also. He said that this motor road is the main route of the important Nanda Devi Rajajata Yatra of the state.
This important visit, held every 12 years, is proposed in the year 2026. This visit is a symbol of the religious and cultural faith of the state. Raksha Mantri assured positive action on all proposals.
