- Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today led the ‘Swadeshi Apnao, Rashtra Ko Aage Badhao’ public awareness campaign organized at Paltan Bazaar in Dehradun. On this occasion, he inspired local traders, voluntary organizations and citizens to use indigenous products as much as possible. The Chief Minister said that this campaign is a strong effort to convey the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for self-reliant India and Vocal for Local to the people. He said that when we give priority to the goods manufactured in our country, both the economic condition of the country and local employment will be strengthened.
The Chief Minister said that adopting Swadeshi is not only an economic decision but also a national duty. By adopting the mantra of Swadeshi Apnao Desh Ko Majboot Banao given by the Prime Minister, we can not only strengthen the country’s economy, but also make local producers, craftsmen and small entrepreneurs self-reliant.
The CM appealed to the traders to put Swadeshi nameplates on their shops, so that consumers have a sense of trust and pride towards Swadeshi. The Chief Minister visited the shops of Paltan Bazaar and put up stickers of ‘Adopt Swadeshi, Make the Nation Strong’. He urged the people to give priority to Swadeshi options in festivals, gifts and daily use. The Chief Minister said that this would not only be an inspirational initiative, but it would also strengthen our cultural identity and the resolve of self-reliant India.
