Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today presented appointment letters to 1,456 candidates at Doon Medical College. This includes 109 Review Officers and Assistant Review Officers selected through the Public Service Commission and 1,347 Assistant Teachers (LT) selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
Congratulating all the candidates who received their appointment letters, the Chief Minister said that this opportunity represents a significant milestone in their lives and is also crucial for laying the foundation for the state’s bright future. He expected the newly appointed youth to perform their duties with utmost integrity, transparency, and dedication, and said they will set new standards of excellence in their fields of work.
The Chief Minister said that in the last four years, more than 26,000 youth have been employed in government jobs in the state. This number is more than double the total number of jobs provided during the tenure of previous governments since the state’s formation. Today, our youth are finding opportunities in government jobs based on a transparent system and merit. Recently, an incident of cheating by an individual was reported at an examination center in Haridwar.
The government took immediate action, arresting the accused and forming an SIT to investigate the matter. To protect the interests of the youth, and on their demand, the decision was made to cancel the exam and recommend a CBI investigation. The Chief Minister stated that he personally visited the protest site and assured the youth that all their legitimate demands would be met.
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat stated that the process of appointments in the Education Department will continue. Soon, appointments will be made for BRC, CRP, Basic Teacher, and Class IV positions. He informed all the teachers receiving appointments that they are being appointed in remote areas. They must serve in remote areas for a few years.
