Dehradun: Chardham Yatra has started. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is personally reviewing the preparations at the major travel stops of the four Dhams. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has become the first Chief Minister to be present on the occasion of the opening of the doors of all four Dhams.
The Chardham Yatra started on 30 April with the opening of the doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on this day and took stock of the travel preparations. No CM had reached Yamunotri Dham on the day of opening of the doors before this. Similarly, CM Dhami was also present in both the Dhams on the day of opening of the doors of Kedarnath on May 2 and Badrinath Dham on May 4.
This is the first occasion in the history of the state when a CM was present on the day of opening of the doors in all four Dhams. CM Dhami has taken the management in his hands by constantly reviewing the travel preparations in Rishikesh, the main stop of Chardham Yatra. He is also constantly talking to the passengers and taking feedback. Along with this, he is also giving necessary guidelines.
Instructed to be cautious about the weather
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the officials of the government and administration to be especially cautious in view of the weather on the Chardham Yatra route. He said that the safety of the passengers should be given top priority when the weather is adverse. Along with this, the passengers should also be informed about the weather.
