Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Haridwar to inaugurate the Samadhi Temple establishment ceremony, praised the importance of the disciple-guru tradition in the saintly lineage and its torchbearers from the stage. He also presented examples of how this saintly tradition has influenced those in positions of power. He discussed the past situation in Uttar Pradesh and presented the current scenario. Yogi Adityanath said that in Uttar Pradesh, which is now free from riots, hooliganism, and violence, everything is fine.
He said that before 2014, the system in Uttar Pradesh was criticized. Today, the country has progressed in the field of self-reliance. He said that earlier, bullets were fired at devotees of Rama, and they were humiliated. Neither daughters nor traders were safe. Today, everything has changed. He said that the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is the first step towards realizing the concept of Ram Rajya (the ideal rule of Rama).
Yogi Adityanath said that the Magh Mela, which was once a fair for those observing the Kalpavasa (a period of religious observance), has now seen 21 crore devotees take a dip in the Triveni Sangam since Paush Purnima. Yogi Adityanath said that how the administration functions is evident in Uttar Pradesh through the saintly traditions and ashram systems.
He said that before 2014, there was a system based on plunder in Uttar Pradesh. He said that there is no longer anarchy, riots, or disturbances in the state. Earlier, the farmer had become a taxpayer. Today, the farmer has truly become the provider of food. Workers and artisans have now become self-employed, which reflects the concept of village self-employment. Yogi Adityanath said that due to the penance of the sages and saints, India held its place in the world’s GDP.
He said that before the invaders, the villages of India were crucial to this GDP. He said that even today, villages are being developed on the same lines. Self-employment was the essence of India, and today the country is being reconnected with those old traditions. The concept of Gram Swaraj (village self-governance) is being realized once again. The values of patriotism, along with respect for the head of state, were not compromised by Swami Satyamitranand Giri.
Yogi Adityanath began his address by recalling the establishment of the Bharat Mata Temple by the late Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj. He said that Swami Satyamitranand, whose life values were compassion, friendship, and patriotism, established this symbol of national unity, the Bharat Mata Temple. This temple transcends the boundaries of caste, region, and language, uniting the entire India. He said that Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj was a strong flag-bearer of the Sanatan tradition. He said that in 1982, he never compromised on the values of patriotism, even in challenging circumstances. He said that the then Prime Minister, the late Indira Gandhi, attended the inauguration of the Bharat Mata Temple, along with the then RSS chief Balasaheb Deoras. This was an unimaginable coincidence, where there was no compromise on the values of the nation, along with respect for the head of state. Swami Satyamitranand lived up to his name.
Wishes extended to CM Dhami
Yogi Adityanath said that Uttarakhand is the center of India’s spiritual consciousness. He said that this state, which was separated from Uttar Pradesh, is today writing new chapters of development. Calling Uttar Pradesh the second largest economy in the country, he said that Uttarakhand is also moving forward on its path of development and heritage. He said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is working under the guidance of the Prime Minister, preserving both development and heritage. He congratulated the Chief Minister on this. He said that in the last 11 years, we have also seen the blend of development and heritage in Uttar Pradesh. Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, Prayagraj, Char Dham, Haridwar – development is a long saga moving forward while preserving the heritage. This is a saga of a new India, which the present generation was waiting for. It is being seen developing on a continuous path. He said that efforts are being made to overcome the state of confusion.
When the moderator addressed Yogi as the future of the nation, the saints started chanting slogans
Before the Mahamandaleshwar Dr. Harichetanand, who was conducting the program, invited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to speak, he addressed Yogi as the future of the nation. Upon hearing his words, the saints, mahants, and ascetics sitting in front of him began chanting “Jai Shri Ram.” The entire pandal resonated with the chants of “Jai Shri Ram” for a considerable time. Finally, when Yogi Adityanath, in a thundering voice, proclaimed “Jai Siya Ram Chandra,” the audience, joining in the chant, settled down. An awkward situation arose when Yogi Adityanath’s address concluded and the ascetics, devotees, and saints began to leave the audience area. At this point, Mahamandaleshwar Dr. Harichetanand, who was conducting the proceedings, took the microphone again, and the Defense Minister’s address began
