Chief Minister gave instructions to make the law on conversion more strict

In a meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand is a border state as well as the holy land of Sanatan. Therefore, any attempt to change the demography here should be strictly stopped. He said that the police should keep an eye on such suspicious activities. People trapped in the trap of conversion elements should be provided proper counseling and guidance. He said that in view of the recent incidents, immediate steps should be taken to make the conversion law more stringent. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Operation Kalanemi has also been successful in curbing such elements. This campaign needs to be carried forward as well, so at the level of Police Headquarters, an SIT should be formed to monitor it.
