Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the state’s demographics and cultural values will not be allowed to be damaged at any cost. The original heritage of the region must be preserved. Instructions have already been issued to all district magistrates regarding demographic change. Officers whose tenures have seen demographic changes, whether ration cards, Aadhaar cards, or electricity connections, will be held responsible.
Chief Minister Dhami spoke briefly with reporters at the helipad while departing from Gaulapar to Dehradun on Tuesday. He stated that the state’s demographics have changed in the past. Many things have happened that were previously overlooked.
This will not be allowed to happen again. The Chief Minister also promised to expedite the establishment of an industrial farm in Khurpiya, Kichha, and provide infrastructure there at a cost of 1,000 crore rupees. He claimed that the establishment of the industrial farm will prove crucial in generating employment in the state. Many large conglomerates will establish their industries there, providing new employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
Responding to a question regarding helicopter services, the Chief Minister stated that work on the international airport in Pantnagar is being rapidly initiated. He himself has met with the Union Aviation Minister to discuss this. An airport will be built in Pantnagar according to international standards, from where air services to various parts of the country will begin. This will benefit not only the people of Uttarakhand but also tourists visiting the state.
Regarding the Forest Act’s obstruction to the establishment of a sports university, Dhami stated that discussions have been held with the Union Forest Minister. The forest land-related issues will be resolved soon. Work on establishing the sports university will proceed rapidly as soon as the forest land issue is resolved
