Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Naya Raipur to mark the 25th anniversary of Chhattisgarh’s founding. Preparations for Modi’s program are in the final stages. During this visit, PM Modi will share his 25-year journey of Chhattisgarh with the Gaurav Samman on the Parikrama Path and will also have a heart-to-heart talk with 2,500 children from Chhattisgarh who underwent free heart surgeries at Sanjivani Hospital. During his visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate a museum dedicated to tribal freedom fighters. Following this program, he will launch the state festival, where he will address the public.
PM Modi’s minute-by-minute program: 10:00 AM: As part of the “Dil Ki Baat” program, he will interact with 2,500 children who have successfully undergone treatment for congenital heart diseases at the “Gift of Life” ceremony at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjivani Hospital in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
10:45 AM: Inaugurate the Brahma Kumaris’ Shanti Shikhar, a modern center for spiritual education, peace, and meditation.
11:45 AM: Unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, at the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. He will then inaugurate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building. This building is built on a green building concept and is planned to be fully solar-powered and equipped with a rainwater harvesting system.
1:30 PM: Inaugurate the Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum. This museum will preserve and showcase the heritage of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the state’s tribal communities. The Prime Minister will launch the museum portal and the e-book “Adi Shaurya” in honor of freedom fighters. He will unveil the equestrian statue of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh at the memorial site.
2:30 PM: Participate in the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee, organized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹14,260 crore across key sectors such as roads, industry, healthcare, and energy. To strengthen rural livelihoods, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 12 new Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks in nine districts of Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister will participate in the house warming ceremonies of 3.51 lakh completed houses. He will release installments worth ₹1,200 crore to 3 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin).
Foundation Stone of Greenfield Highway: To boost connectivity, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a four-lane Greenfield Highway from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is developing it under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at a cost of approximately ₹3,150 crore. This corridor will connect major coal mines, industrial areas, and steel plants in Korba, Raigarh, Jashpur, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction and upgradation of National Highway 130D (Narayanpur-Kasturmeta-Kutul-Nilangur-Maharashtra Border), spanning several sections in Bastar and Narayanpur districts. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the upgradation of National Highway 130C (Madangamuda-Deobhog-Odisha Border) to a two-lane highway with paved shoulders. This will enhance road connectivity in tribal and remote areas.
In the power sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Inter-Regional ER-WR Interconnection Project, which will increase the inter-regional power transfer capacity between the Eastern and Western Grids by 1600 MW, improving grid reliability and ensuring stable power supply across the region. The Prime Minister will also dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for several energy sector projects worth over ₹3,750 crore, aimed at strengthening Chhattisgarh’s power infrastructure, improving supply reliability, and enhancing transmission capacity.
The Prime Minister will dedicate works worth approximately ₹1,860 crore under the Revitalized Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). These include construction of new power lines, feeder bifurcation, installation of transformers, conversion of conductors, and strengthening of low-tension networks to improve rural and agricultural power supply.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate nine new power substations constructed at a cost of approximately ₹480 crore in districts such as Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bemetara, Gariaband, and Bastar. To enhance power access and quality in the state, the foundation stone will be laid for new RDSS works in several districts, as well as new substations and transmission projects worth over ₹1,415 crore, including major facilities in Kanker and Balodabazar-Bhatapara.
Inauguration of HPCL Oil Depot: In the petroleum and natural gas sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate HPCL’s state-of-the-art petroleum oil depot in Raipur. Built at a cost of over ₹460 crore, the depot has a storage capacity of 54,000 kiloliters of petrol, diesel, and ethanol. This facility will serve as a major fuel hub and ensure uninterrupted supply to Chhattisgarh and neighboring states. With a 10,000 kiloliter ethanol storage capacity, the depot also supports the ethanol blending program.
