Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Tuesday. Along with CM Vishnu Dev Sai, the soldiers involved in the Karregutta Naxal operation have also gone to Delhi. CM Sai introduced the soldiers involved in the Karregutta Naxal operation to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Amit Shah praised the courage and valor of the soldiers involved in the Karregutta operation.
CM Vishnu Dev Sai meets Amit Shah: During the meeting, Vishnu Dev Sai gave detailed information to Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the anti-Naxal operation going on in Chhattisgarh. The CM told that the soldiers are continuously achieving success in the anti-Naxal campaign. What used to be the core area of the Naxalites is now continuously shrinking. Many areas have become Naxal-free. CM Vishnu Dev Sai also informed Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the development work being carried out in Bastar along with the anti-Naxal operation.
Information given on anti-Naxal operation: CM told Amit Shah about the success being achieved in the anti-Maoist campaign being run in Naxal-affected districts including Bastar. Meeting with the soldiers involved in the Karregutta Naxal operation: CM also told the Home Minister about the long Naxal operation in the hills of Karregutta. Union Home Minister Amit Shah encouraged the soldiers and officers involved in the Karregutta operation. Amit Shah also honored the soldiers. Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Sharma was also present during this meeting.
453 Maoists neutralized, 1616 arrested, 1666 surrendered: CM told Union Home Minister Amit Shah that as a result of aggressive action of the security forces from December 2023 till now, 453 Maoists were neutralized. During the same period, 1616 Maoists were arrested. 1666 Maoists surrendered. 65 new security camps were set up in the state. Infrastructure like roads, bridges and mobile networks were rapidly expanded in Naxal-affected areas.
Discussion on the devastation caused by floods in Bastar: Along with this, Chief Minister Sai also discussed the serious situation of the floods in Bastar. The CM informed the Home Minister about the relief and rehabilitation work. The CM said that the administration is constantly engaged in providing relief material, providing health facilities and arranging safe shelter for displaced families in the affected areas. The Chief Minister clarified that providing all possible help to the flood-affected families is the top priority of the state government. The CM told Amit Shah that special packages and additional resources are also being mobilized for the flood victims.
Deadline for the elimination of Maoism: The deadline for the elimination of Naxalism has been set as March 31, 2026. To eliminate the Maoists within the stipulated time frame, anti-Naxal operations are being continuously intensified in Naxal-affected areas.
