The date for the closing of the Badrinath Temple will be decided on Vijayadashami, October 2nd. The date will be announced during a grand religious ceremony at the Badrinath Temple complex.
The closing date of the Badrinath Temple is decided annually on Vijayadashami. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, a grand religious ceremony will be held in the afternoon at the Badrinath Temple complex. Dharmadhikaris and Vedapathis will determine the closing date of the shrine after calculating the almanac.
In the presence of officials from the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, the Chief Priest of Badrinath Temple, Rawal, will announce the closing date. Dr. Harish Gaur, Media Incharge of BKTC, stated that on the same day, the auspicious time and schedule for the five pujas to be performed before the closing of the doors, the departure of Uddhav and Kubera to Pandukeshwar, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, and the departure of Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, to the Nrisimha Temple Jyotirmath seat, will be decided.
During this, a turban will be presented for the store service for the Yatra to be held next year in 2026.
