Helicopter bookings for two Dhams Badrinath and Kedarnath from Jolly Grant have reached 70% till June 20. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will open on Akshaya Tritiya on April 30, Kedarnath on May 2 and Badrinath on May 4.
A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees regarding the Char Dham Yatra. Rudraksh Aviation has completed 70% bookings till June 20. The company’s MI 17 double engine helicopter will reach Jolly Grant helipad on May 2.
From May 2, the helicopter will fly from Jolly Grant with a total of 20 devotees. After visiting two Dhams, the same number of devotees will return to Jolly Grant. The company’s schedule will also have the facility of darshan and night stay in two Dhams in one day. Due to increase in royalty, this time there has been a slight increase in the fare per devotee. According to the company officials, booking of both the Dhams from Jolly Grant is being done only till June 20. After that, when the rainy season starts, the helicopter service will be stopped.
After the state government increased the royalty and landing charges, the helicopter company has increased the fare per passenger for the two Dhams. This time, the fare per passenger for the journey to the two Dhams from Jolly Grant by Rudraksh Aviation’s MI 17 will be Rs 1,21,000 (return in a single day) and Rs 1,41,000 (return after overnight stay). Last year, this fare was Rs 1,11,000 and Rs 1,31,000 per passenger.
