Dehradun: After a long wait, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of class 10th and 12th on Tuesday. This time the result of Dehradun region deteriorated so much that it came from the bottom to the top five. CBSE has a total of 17 regions across the country. In this, Dehradun region ranked 13th. Whereas last year it was at 11th position.
Apart from all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand, Dehradun region includes eight districts of western Uttar Pradesh – Badaun, Bijnor, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Saharanpur and Sambhal. While about 1500 schools in the entire region are affiliated to the board. If we look at the figures, the passing percentage of class 12th was 83.45 percent. Last year it was 87.98 percent. At the same time, the passing percentage of class 10th was 90.97 percent. It was the same last year as well. In class 12th, Vijayawada region of Andhra Pradesh stood first in the country with the highest passing percentage of 99.60. Prayagraj region of Uttar Pradesh stood at the bottom at 17th place with 79.53 percent.
The difference in passing percentage is not much. This time questions were asked in the board exam under the New Education Policy (NEP). The curriculum of NEP has been prepared to promote vocational education. Students will definitely benefit from it.
