Palamu: On Thursday, in Garhwa area of Jharkhand, police took action on the information of religious organizations and rescued more than 200 cattle. After the rescue, all the cattle were brought to the Town Police Station of Garhwa district. During this time, the cattle remained in the Town Police Station of Garhwa for about 24 hours.
All the cattle were transferred to the Gaushala located in Satbarwa, Palamu
After which, on the initiative of police and administrative officials, all the cattle have been transferred to the Gaushala located in Satbarwa, Palamu. The area of Garhwa from where the cattle were rescued, has a weekly market and its business is also done there. It is alleged that the cattle were being taken for slaughter. However, it has not been confirmed at the moment. Garhna police has also detained three people along with the cattle, who are being questioned.
Earlier, religious organizations had received information that cattle are brought to Garhwa in containers and later all the cattle are sent for smuggling through unpaved roads. As soon as the organization came to know that the cattle have been brought here, they reached the spot. Meanwhile, the administrative team also reached the spot after getting the information. After which the police rescued all the cattle and they were transferred to Satbarwa in Palamu.

Earlier, a large number of cattle were rescued in the areas of Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar. During the investigation of cattle smuggling, the police caught people associated with a large network of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. Cattle smugglers adopt various tricks. They smuggle through containers and tracks.
