Roorkee: Police has registered a case against former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion and Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar in the dispute that happened a day before. Former MLA Champion’s driver has registered a case against MLA Umesh Kumar under SC ST sections including vandalism in the car, assault and abuse and threatening to kill.
While Umesh’s side has also registered a case against the former MLA for hitting the car and vandalizing the car with sticks and rods, abusing and threatening. SP Rural Shekhar Chand Suyal said that after registering the case from both sides, the investigation of the allegations has started. Let us tell you that last Friday evening at around 3:30 pm, there was a dispute between former MLA Champion and MLA Umesh Kumar near Solani bridge on Roorkee Laksar road.
MLA Umesh Kumar’s driver had told the police in his complaint that former MLA Champion’s car overtook him and after hitting his car, vandalized it with sticks and rods, whereas Champion’s driver had accused Umesh Kumar and his supporters of hitting his car, using casteist slurs, vandalizing his car and threatening to kill him.
