Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya on Sunday inspected the disaster-affected area in Bindukhatta village and Raonagar Pratham in Lal Kuan tehsil of Nainital district. After taking stock of the damage, she directed the officials to take immediate action and provide assistance to the affected people. Recently, due to floods in the Gola river, there was a lot of damage in Indira Nagar of Bindukhatta. Along with this, people in Raonagar Pratham village also had to face the horror of floods and suffered a lot. The security wall collapsed due to the strong flow of water and many houses were destroyed due to the flood. Apart from this, a large part of agricultural land was also washed away in the flood. After getting information about this, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya reached this area on Sunday afternoon and inquired from the villagers about the damage they had suffered. She sought details of the work being done in this regard from the district administration and forest officials present on the spot. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that the construction of the security wall should be done soon and this time its quality should be such that damage from floods is not suffered in the coming years. Along with this, he instructed the officials to provide immediate help to the flood affected people
