Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today participated in the Mussoorie Assembly conference held at a private hotel on Rajpur Road as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt was the chief guest. Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali in advance, Minister Ganesh Joshi stated, “Embracing Swadeshi is not just an economic decision, but a national duty.” He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for “Vocal for Local” is rapidly progressing the country towards self-reliance. He added that Prime Minister Modi has given a significant gift to the countrymen by exempting them from GST before Diwali. Minister Joshi stated that 469,000 women in the state are earning their livelihoods through self-help groups, of which 165,000 have become “Lakhpati Didi.” He added, “Women’s empowerment strengthens families and society.” He said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India has achieved unprecedented progress in 11 yearsโ120 million toilets, 100 million houses, and food exports to over 80 countries are proof of this. Minister Joshi said that the Self-reliant India campaign is a powerful means of spreading the Prime Minister’s “Vocal for Local” message to the masses, and every citizen should pledge to use indigenous products. He appealed to everyone to purchase indigenous products during Diwali and the upcoming festivals. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards self-reliance. He said that every citizen of the country is now empowering the rural economy by joining the spirit of Vocal for Local. He said that the GST system has simplified, transparent, and unified the tax system across the country. Bhatt said that Prime Minister Modi’s goal is to provide “skills to every hand and employment to every home.” He urged the youth to transform their skills and talents into self-employment by joining campaigns like Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, and Make in India. He said that the Prime Minister’s vision is that India should emerge as a developed nation by 2047, and the Central and State governments are continuously working in this direction. During this, BJP State Minister Neha Joshi said that through the Self-reliant India campaign, not only will self-employment and entrepreneurship be promoted in India, but the country’s economy will also be strengthened.
